Our Philosophy
Threadfolk began with a simple belief — clothing should feel meaningful, not disposable.
Each piece we create carries a story of transformation, turning forgotten textiles into something new, expressive, and lasting.
As a small, women-owned studio based in California, we value thoughtful design, slow craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of working by hand.
We don’t chase trends. We focus on pieces that feel personal and made to live with you over time.
Designed With Intention
Every garment starts with materials that already hold character — denim softened by years, fabrics rich with texture, patterns waiting to be rediscovered.
Rather than producing in bulk, we design in small batches, allowing each piece to evolve naturally through the making process.
No two pieces are exactly the same, and that is intentional.
We believe individuality is what makes clothing truly special.
Frequently asked questions
What is the return policy?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery.
Return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund once the item is received and inspected.
Items must be returned in their original condition, unworn and unwashed.
What fabrics do you use?
We work with a thoughtful mix of materials.
Some pieces are made from upcycled textiles, while others are created using organic cotton and carefully selected small fabric patches.
This combination allows us to reduce waste while creating garments that feel unique and full of character.
Where are your pieces made?
All pieces are handcrafted in our San Francisco, California studio.
From material selection to final stitching, every step is done with care by hand. We take pride in small-scale production and attention to detail.
Are your pieces one of a kind?
Some pieces are truly one of a kind, while others are produced in small batches, depending on the availability of materials.
Even when multiple pieces are made from the same fabric patches, each garment will have slight variations.
This ensures that every piece remains personal, individual, and unique.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Because many of our pieces are made or finished by hand, processing typically takes 2–3 weeks before shipping.
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Estimated delivery times:
- United States: 3–10 business days
- International: 2–4 weeks
We typically ship using USPS economy service unless another option is selected.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
How should I care for my garment?
To help your piece last for years, we recommend gentle care.
- Hand wash in cold water or use a delicate cycle
- Use mild detergent
- Lay flat or hang to dry
- Do not bleach
Because many of our garments combine different fabrics and handcrafted details, gentle handling will help preserve their texture and shape over time.
Do you offer custom orders or alterations?
At this time, we do not offer custom orders or alterations.
Our pieces are produced in small batches or as one-of-a-kind designs, depending on the materials available.
We focus on creating thoughtfully designed pieces that are ready to wear.
If this changes in the future, we will share updates on our website and social media.
